This book is designed to address the two main concerns of students preparing for the TOPIK intermediate and advanced levels: âWhat vocabulary should I study, and how far should I go?â and âHow can I remember and use the vocabulary correctly in different contexts?â To facilitate effective study in a short amount of time, it includes approximately 1,400 essential words suited to intermediate and advanced levels, selected based on frequency and importance. After analyzing all available past TOPIK exams since the 2014 revision, we compiled vocabulary from the âOfficial TOPIK Vocabulary Listâ provided by the National Institute for International Education, as well as from textbooks used by major universities and institutions. This allows learners to study about 30 words daily, organized by specific themes. Before diving into the main learning phase, the âPreparation Stageâ guides learners to infer the meanings of words from sentences containing the vocabulary. In the âLearning Stageâ, learners accurately study the vocabulary through various contextual examples presented with each entry. Each entry is also accompanied by âExam Tipsâ and âBackground Knowledge for Full Marksâ to deepen understanding and reinforce memory. The âReview Stageâ includes daily âLetâs Reviewâ activities, a review session approximately every ten days, and two mini mock tests at the end of the book for periodic assessment. Moreover, the book provides audio recordings of the vocabulary and example sentences read by professional voice actors, as well as PDF files of English translations, accessible via QR codes, to support multi-faceted and easy learning.
