Li and his contributors explore how Taiwanese poets conceptualize their identities, employing multiple voices to challenge political hegemony and re-evaluate Taiwanâs colonial legacy and nationalism. Poetry in Taiwan exists at the intersection of Taiwanese, Mandarin, and Japanese languages and traditions.
