This book examines the important subject of the protection of women under international humanitarian law with particular reference to the Women of Iraq and Palestine. It discusses the most important international humanitarian legal documents and instruments that are relevant to the topic. A key focus point in the book is the discussion of the social, cultural and political conditions currently affecting the women of Iraq and Palestine. The conclusion is reached that the existing laws on the subject as well as efforts by many world leaders have not been able to protect women's rights adequately. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dr. Nour Mawloud Njeeb Fnish obtained her bachelor's degree in law from Al-Ahliyya University School of Law in Jordan and practiced law before coming to the United States of America to further her studies. She earned both her LL.M. \u0026 S.J.D. degrees from Golden Gate University, School of Law specializing in international and comparative law. Presently she is undergoing a post-doctoral internship at the Golden Gate University's Sompong Sucharitkul Center for Advanced International Legal Studies.
