[Flaptekst]: »Metaphorology of Law - Outlook on a Metaphorology of Fundamental Rights« Up to now, German legal science lacks comprehensive research on legal metaphors. This study outlines a scientific program called »metaphorology of law«. Starting from a differentiated concept of metaphor and the acknowledgement that at least most legal terms are metaphorical, it provides a set of instruments for the analysis of legal metaphors. Using this set, it develops a history of fundamental rights (German Grundrechte) which features some surprising new insights.
