Das Buch profitiert als erste Studie von den mittlerweile zugänglichen Archiven in den betroffenen Staaten nach der üblichen Sperrfrist von 30 Jahren. Der Autor hat als erster dieses reichhaltige Quellenmaterial systematisch ausgewertet und kommt zu neuen Ergebnissen.
